Walk - Abos POSTPONED from Monday

From the Mairie parking area we will convoy to the spot N 43.35225 W 0.55361 which is at the fork in the “road” that would take us towards the Lac de Cournère. We will park there as it seems ridiculous to walk on the hard top. I believe this was not intended by the authors to be part of this walk because they indicate less than 10K whereas we tested it for 13.4K.

The walk is otherwise about 2h30 minutes with an ascension of 140M. It may be a bit muddy in spots so sticks will be handy to have but these wet spots are not long and easily traversed. There are parts of it which pass through vineyards, others through pine forest and the views are very nice both to the green fields near and the mountains afar. We must try to visit the church Saint Jean-Baptiste with it’s restored painted interior.

Don’t forget water and a packed lunch. There are no facilities in the village and no cafés
