Code of Conduct and Statement of Understanding

All members are asked to sign the Code of Conduct and Statement of Understanding as a condition of participating in association activities.

 

Core Values

• Respect and Tolerance: Regardless of your own views, treat all members, guests, and volunteers with courtesy.

• Inclusion: Welcome everyone regardless of background, race, nationality, religion, gender, or ability.

• Safety: Keep physical and digital spaces secure and free from harm.

 

Expected Behaviours

• Follow all association rules, booking systems, and venue guidelines.

• Communicate constructively and resolve disputes openly and peacefully.

• Respect personal space, privacy, and property.

• Maintain appropriate conduct at association events and on online platforms including WhatsApp and Facebook.

 

Prohibited Conduct

• Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or verbal abuse of any kind.

• Discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

• Unwanted physical contact or violence.

• Cheating, dishonesty, or unsportsmanlike behaviour during association activities.

 

Reporting and Consequences

• Report any violations promptly to the executive committee in writing.

• Expect the association to investigate complaints fairly and confidentially.

• Face actions for serious breaches, which may include warnings, membership suspension, or expulsion.​
